Hello! My name is Carlos Arguelles. I am a Seattle-based photographer and software engineer.

I'm a Canon shooter! I shoot primarily with a Canon 5D, with a 350D as a backup body. I am an "L" lover (got the 16-35mm f/2.8 L, the 24-105mm f/4 IS L, and the 70-200mm f/2.8 IS L, with the 2x TC). I also like my share of prime lenses, such as a 16mm fisheye, 50mm f/1.4, 85mm f/1.8, 100mm f/2.8, and 300mm f/4 L plus the 1.4TC and the 2x TC. As you can see I also like the funkier lenses like the Lensbaby 2.0.

I have photographed extensively all over the world. I've conducted five trips to Asia, three to Africa, four to Europe, and a bunch to Latin America. I'm very passionate about traveling and seeing the world thru my lenses.

This photo was taken when reaching Timbuktu after an arduous journey on the back of a camel from Marrakesh.

I live in Seattle, Washington, with my lovely wife Erin and my wonderful little baby Sam, in a house full of cats!
